Spring and International Day of Poetry

What a wonderful initiative! I've just found out that March 21 is International Poetry Day as called by Julius Meinl, a coffee-roasting company since 1862 and sponsored by UNESCO.

If one is a poet, one of its poems could pay for a coffee in any of the 1,100 cafes in Continental Europe as well as in UK, the USA or Australia.

LITTLE THINGS

By Julia Fletcher Carney

Little drops of water,

Little grains of sand,

Make the mighty ocean

And the pleasant land.
